The Orientation in JJ this year was different from the usual as the students’ Orientation Groups were already their J1 classes. The Orientation had a special theme – Olympia, which was home to four heroes. They each had powers and a golden emblem which belonged to each of their family. The four heroes represented the four JJ values: Discipline, Responsibility, Motivation and Appreciation. On the first day, the “families” had their Ice-Breaker games followed by the learning of JJ cheers and house boards.
On the second day, there was a series of Disability Awareness Games which allowed the students to empathise with the less fortunate. On the third day, there was a highly anticipated activity which was JJ Night. Close to 1,000 students gathered in the hall and danced their hearts out.
