As many of you may know, Love Fiesta began in 2004 as a carnival to aid the college in raising funds for the less privileged. It was immensely successful in rousing the students to play a part in helping their peers and bringing together the JJ community for a day of absolute fun and enjoyment.
Thanks to the feedback we received from our alumni last year, we have decided to bring back Love Fiesta after a long hiatus! We are excited to announce this year’s Love Fiesta that will have an interesting new twist.
This year, Love Fiesta aims in inculcate in students and attendees a love for our environment. JJ students have planned exciting booths and interactive displays to bring home the important message of environmental conservation and our collective responsibility in protecting the Earth. They will be demonstrating to you the many exciting ways we can continue doing our part for the environment.
In addition, there will external partners like the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, O-Bike and Acres (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) to educate visitors on ethical environmental practices and conserving our biodiversity.
Come on down, relive the fun of Love Fiesta and do your part for the environment! Here’s how you can contribute:
• Bring a recyclable item for the Free Market!
• Visit students’ booths and participate in the fun and games and make a pledge to do your part!
• Be an advocate by sharing about the good work you have done or been a part of and set up a booth of your own – demonstrations, games, or handicraft etc.
Save the date 10 March 2018 (9am – 2pm) and drop by the college for a fun and educational experience at Love Fiesta 2018.
